Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas.- Con el objetivo de promover el envejecimiento activo y saludable, la Secretaría de Bienestar Social (SEBIEN) y el Instituto del Deporte de Tamaulipas (INDE) llevaron a cabo la inauguración del Torneo Estatal de Cachibol 2024 para Adultos Mayores.
El evento se celebró en la Unidad Deportiva Siglo XXI de Ciudad Victoria y reunió a 230 participantes distribuidos en 11 equipos provenientes de diferentes municipios del estado.
La ceremonia inaugural fue presidida por la secretaria de Bienestar Social, Silvia Casas González, y el director general del INDE, Manuel Alejandro Virués Lozano, quienes destacaron la importancia del deporte como una herramienta para fomentar la inclusión, la salud integral y el bienestar emocional de las personas adultas mayores.
El torneo, que se lleva a cabo los días 21 y 22 de noviembre, refleja el esfuerzo de ambas instituciones por ofrecer actividades que promuevan la integración y el fortalecimiento de la salud en las personas mayores, reafirmando la importancia del deporte en la calidad de vida de los ciudadanos.
Durante su mensaje, Silvia Casas González realizó la declaratoria oficial de inauguración y subrayó el compromiso del Gobierno de Tamaulipas con el desarrollo físico, social y emocional de este sector de la población.
“El deporte es bienestar, el deporte es salud, es trabajo en equipo, es unidad, esas son las frases que hemos escuchado de nuestro gobernador. En esta dependencia, en el INDE, tenemos que seguir impulsando el deporte en todos los lugares del estado y en todas las edades que se puede practicar”, reiteró Casas González.
En dicho torneo participarán los equipos: Los Moros (Matamoros), Edad de Oro UAT (Tampico), Guerreros (Altamira), Nuevos Horizontes (Madero), Águilas de Fuego (Cd. Victoria) Vida en Plenitud (Tampico), Miramar (Madero), Renacimiento (Cd. Victoria). Reto (Cd. Victoria), Orinegras (Madero), y DIF (Reynosa).
Con esta iniciativa, la Secretaría de Bienestar Social y el Instituto del Deporte de Tamaulipas refrendan su compromiso de seguir promoviendo actividades deportivas que fortalezcan la salud y la integración social de las personas adultas mayores, consolidando a Tamaulipas como un estado comprometido con el bienestar de su gente.
