Ciudad Victoria.- En el marco del Tercer Foro Estatal del Agua organizado por la secretaría de Recursos Hidráulicos para el Desarrollo Social del gobierno de Tamaulipas, la senadora Olga Sosa se refirió que el Senado, encargado de celebrar los tratados internacionales, está en contra de las exigencias de aumentar el volumen de agua toda vez que ha habido menos agua que ha puesto en riesgo a los agricultores de México, añadió que la Conagua ya trabaja en plantear soluciones alternativas.
La senadora Sosa Ruíz mencionó que de manera coordinada con el gobierno de Tamaulipas se está trabajando para administrar mejor el agua, garantizar la sostenibilidad y distribución en comunidades rurales que permitan garantizar al derecho humano al agua. Olga Sosa refirió que existen también acciones de saneamiento de aguas residuales y un esfuerzo por la primera secretaría estatal que trabaja para reducir los problemas asociados al abastecimiento del vital líquido.
La senadora añadió que se firmó un acta 331 que contraviene el propio Tratado de 1944, por lo que en su momento se ingresó un punto de acuerdo y se distribuyeron oficios a las áreas correspondientes para revertir el acta que pone en riesgo a los productores del norte, así como industriales y hogares de Tamaulipas.
El foro también sirvió para reforzar los planteamientos de la CILA como autoridad competente en las negociaciones con EUA.
La senadora Olga Sosa mencionó que este Foro convoca a hacer sinergia con industriales, agricultores, comapas para fortalecer el abasto del agua y fortalecer las políticas de cuidado del agua en toda la sociedad.
