Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas.-En un paso significativo para el desarrollo del deporte y la educación en Tamaulipas, el director general del Instituto del Deporte, Manuel Virués Lozano firmó un convenio de colaboración con la Universidad del Valle de México campus Ciudad Victoria (UVM), el cual traerá múltiples beneficios para atletas de alto rendimiento, sus familias y la comunidad estudiantil.
En representación de la UVM, participaron en la firma del acuerdo, el rector Rafael Esaú Saldívar Muñoz y la directora académica en Educación Superior, Claudia Aguilera Melchor. Este convenio permitirá que estudiantes de la universidad realicen sus prácticas profesionales y servicio social en beneficio del deporte, especialmente en áreas de medicina, fisioterapia, psicología, enfermería y salud bucal, contribuyendo así al bienestar de las y los atletas.
Además, se abordó la implementación de becas para deportistas de alto rendimiento y la apertura de más opciones académicas para los atletas tamaulipecos, ya que podrán acceder a programas de licenciatura en línea, lo que les permitirá continuar con su formación profesional sin afectar su preparación y competencias.
Virués Lozano señaló que estas acciones son con el objetivo de evitar la fuga de talento a otros estados y brindarles mayores oportunidades de formación.
Asimismo, dijo, se estableció el compromiso de colaboración interinstitucional en eventos deportivos, fortaleciendo el vínculo entre la academia y deporte social y alto rendimiento.
Por último, reiteró que se busca mejorar las condiciones de las y los atletas tamaulipecos, y fomentar una cultura de apoyo integral donde el deporte y la educación vayan de la mano, tal y como lo ha instruido el gobernador Américo Villarreal Anaya.
