Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas. – El secretario de Recursos Hidráulicos para el Desarrollo Social, Raúl Quiroga Álvarez, informó que tras las recientes lluvias registradas en el estado, los caudales han regresado a niveles normales y estables, lo que marca el cierre de la contingencia por avenidas de ríos.
Quiroga Álvarez destacó que esta recuperación hídrica representa un gran alivio, sobre todo para la región cañera, ya que la producción de caña de azúcar será una de las más beneficiadas.
“La emergencia ha pasado. Ahora, como bien ha señalado el gobernador Américo Villarreal Anaya, toca atender los daños que pudieron ocasionar los excesos de precipitación”, señaló.
En este contexto, recordó que el año pasado la tormenta tropical Alberto dañó el canal de llamada de la derivadora Saca de Agua, cuya infraestructura no se ha rehabilitado al cien por ciento, lo que impidió aprovechar al máximo los escurrimientos extraordinarios de esta temporada. No obstante, gracias a la colaboración con los usuarios del Distrito de Riego 092, se aplicó una solución provisional que ha permitido inyectar agua al sistema y recuperar gradualmente los niveles de la presa Ramiro Caballero.
Finalmente, destacó que la presa Emilio Portes Gil, en el municipio de Xicoténcatl, no solo alcanzó su máxima capacidad, sino que presentó escurrimientos por vertimiento, un fenómeno que no se registraba desde hace décadas.
